Tether/Untether- Participatory Project Launch, 24th June 2016 – Linda’s ongoing studio practice project takes her along the Lincolnshire and Yorkshire coastline creating a body of work which concentrates on commemorative benches and the nature of memory. The participatory aspect of this project invites contributions of photographs, texts and memories which enable the mapping of commemorative benches in the UK and act as both research and memory repository. Arts Council Grants for the Arts success – ArtSPEAK/ArtWORK – A Series of Talks, Workshops, Tours and Artist-Mentoring to take place May – November 2016 in North East Lincolnshire. Artist and Curator Linda Ingham has successfully achieved funding to run this 6-month project taking places at sites and venues in Grimsby and Cleethorpes. More news to follow …
At the Usher Gallery, Lincoln during 2016: Shifting Subjects – Contemporary Women Telling the Self through the Visual Arts. A 15-minute film responding to the title, including Alison Rowley, Poppy Bowers, Wendy Elia, Margaret Ashman and text by Anna McNay. Join the British Library and the BBC to reflect on the first three years of the Listening Project: an audio archive of conversations recorded by the BBC in which people are invited to share an intimate conversation with a close friend or relative.
